Mr. and Mrs. Douglas W. Bennlon
have returned from their wedding
trip in Canada, and will re-
side fat the Moody home, Ward
Road, which they recently purchased.
Mrs. Bennion is the former Miss
Helen R. Batterson, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs, Albert C. Batterson,
Town of Niagara and Douglas Is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas W.
Bennion will reside in Ward Rd.,
Sanborn, when they return from
a wedding trip in Canada. The
couple was united in marriage
Saturday (July 16. 1955) at the
Hope Evangelical Lutheran
Church.
Mrs. Bennion is the former
Miss Helen R. Batterson, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Albert C.
Batterson Sr.. Isherwood Dr. The
bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. M. Raymond Bennion.
Lockport Rd., Sanborn.
The Rev. Walter Wehmeier officiated
at the double-ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride was gowned in nylon
tulle and lace that was highlighted
with sequins. Her nylon
tulle veil fell from a crown of
seed pearls and sequins and she
carried a bouquet of white carnations
centred with an orchid.
Mrs. Lewis P. Wcstcottt Jr.,
matron of honor, was attired in
a powder blue strapless frock of
nylon topped with a net shrug
jacket. A band of blue flowers
with veil and rhincstoncs comprised
her headpiece and she carried
a bouquet of yellow carnations
with white baby's breath.
Miss Bcula Bennion, sister of
the briJcgroom. and Mrs. Gerald
D. Batterson, sister-in-law of the
bride, were bridesmaids, and
wore pink frocks styled identically
to that worn by the matron of
honor. They carried pink carnations
with white baby's breath.
La Verne Bennion performed
the duties of best man for his
brother, while guests were seated
by Gerald D. Batterson, brother
of the bride, and Gerald Bennion,
brother of the bridegroom.
A reception was held after the
ceremony at the Niagara No. 1
Exempt Firemen Hall, The
mother of the bride appeared in
an antique rose lace dress with
white accessories, while an antique
lace and nylon tulle rosecolored
dress was the choice of
the mother of the bridegroom.
White accessories complemented
her outfit.
For traveling. Mrs. Bennion
selected a wine colored suit with
white accessories and an orchid
corsage.
