One of the very loveliest of autumn
weddings took place on Monday evening
at 6 o'clock in the Zlon Evangelical
Lutheran church when Miss
Esther Anne Baum, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Frederick Baum of Lewlston
road was united in marriage to Mr.
Fred M. Spinner of Lockport, the
Rev. Herman Brezing officiating. The
church, was attractively decorated
with palms and chrysanthemums.
Prior to the ceremony, Mrs. Cummerford,
the church organist, rendered
two organ solos. Miss Juanlta Crofts
sang very effectively, "I Love You
Truly" and "Oh, Promise Me."
To the strains of Lohengrin's Wedding
March, played by Mrs. Commorford,
the bride entered the church on
the arm of her father who gave her
away. She was lovely in a gown of
white satin back crepe with a Bilk lace
yoke and a skirt of inlaid scallops.
The veil waa of embrollered moltne
arranged Spanish fashion with two
bands of orange blossoms across the
front. She carried a shower bouquet
of white roses, lilies of the valley and
baby's breath. ,
Miss Jeanette Baum, the maid of
honor, was charming In peach changeable
taffeta with tight bodice and full
scalloped skirt and large georgette
bertha collar. Hor picture hat was
peach georgette trimmed with metal
cloth. She wore gold brocaded slippers
and gold colored hose. She carried
a bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums.
Mrs. Paul Blessing and Miss Margaret
Baum were bridesmaids. Mrs.
Blessing wore Nile green changeable
taffeta made In ibo same style as the
maid of honor's and carried a bouquet
of orchid chrysanthemums. Her
picture hat waa nlle green georgette
and gold lace. She wore gold brocaded
slippers and gold colored stockings.
Miss Baum'n gown was orchid
changeable taffeta made In the
same way and her bouquet was yellow
chrysanthemums. Her hat was
orchid georgette and gold lace. She
also wore gold brocaded slippers and
gold colored hose.
Little Miss Mario Maslen was flower
girl arid looked very sweet In pink
taffeta trimmed with ribboned ruffles
and a little pink poke hat. She car-
ried a basket of yellow dahllaa and
pom-poms,
Mr. Louis Spinner, brother of the
groom, attended him. The ushers
were, Mr. Martin Miller, Mr. Jess Anderson
and Mr. Paul Blessing.
Mrs. Baum, mother of the bride,
wore gold-embroidered black georgette
over rose satin and a gold metalcloth
hat. Mrs. Spinner, the groom's
mother, wore channel red satin with
velour hat to match.
The bride presented her maid of
honor with a silver vanity case and
brooch, her two bridesmaids with
necklaces and tiic soloist with crystal
necklace and brooch to match. The
groom presented his best man with
gold studs and the ushers with silk
scarfs.
Immediately following the ceremony
a wedding dinner was served at the
home Of the bride's parents to seventy five
guests. Covers were laid for
twelve at the bride's tablo which was
centered with the wedding cake and
attractively decorated with roses and
ferns.
Among the out-of-town guests were
Mr. and Mrs. Wyndall of Buffalo, Mr
Gllry and Glbbs of Lockport and Mr.
and Mrs. Gaynes of Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. Spinner left for a motor
trip to New York City. Washington,
Boston and other eastern points.
The brtde's going away costume was
bottle-green satin back crepe with
two flounces around the bottom of
the skirt and an ecru colored lace
nertha collar and cuffs to match. Her
hat was of green velvet trimmed with
metal cloth. She wore a caracul coat
trimmed with squirrel fur and tan
suede ami K.tln shoes.
Among the prennptlal affairs were
showers given by Miss Ella Mario Allen,
and Mrs. Howe Tompkins, Miss
Juanlta Crofts, Mlsa Jessie Sullivan,
Mrs. Paul Blessing and Jeanette
Baum, a dinner given by the stenographic
force of the Ressler & Haaslacher
Chemical Company at Louis'
and Miss Louise Schwenkbeck's bach
elor-glrl luncheon.
