Miss Jean Anne Canavan and
Sgt. James Francis Bazinet
were married at 11 a.m. Oct. 24,
1970, in St. Edmund's Church.
The Rev. Marcel Sokalski of
Cardinal O'Hara High School
officiated for the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John F. Canavan
of 69 Westwood Drive, Town of
Tonawanda, and the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Leonard Bazinet of 273
Rogers Ave., Tonawanda.
The bride selected an A-line
gown of ivory organza and
Alencon lace fashioned with an
Empire bodice and a detachable
train. A Camelot cap of
matching lace held her illusion
veil.
Miss Elaine Weisbeck was
maid of honor wearing a lime
crepe gown fashioned with a
mock vest of moss green Venice
lace. The junior bridesmaid.
Miss Joanne Canavan. sister of
the bride, wore a gown of
chartreuse chiffon with a mock
vest of brocade.
Charles Bazinet was his
brother's best man. Ushers
were Robert Canavan, brother
of the bride, and Kenneth Horn.
Altar boys were David and Gary
Bazinet, brothers of the bridegroom.
A reception was given in the
Continental Inn.
The couple traveled to
Washington. D C , for their
honeymoon.
