A most attractive candlelight
ceremony was solemnised Saturday
afternoon. Feb. 3, a t 4 o'clock In
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church,
Buffalo, when Dorothy. Isabelle
Treble, daughter of Mr. and Mra
John Treble of 79 Sprlngville Ave.,
Eggertsvllle, became the bride of
Pfc. Linus Arthur Beakman of Ft.
H. O. Wright, New London, Conn.,
son of Mrs. Lena Beakman. 70 Erie
St.
The Rev. Gordan L. Graser, pastor
of the church, performed the
ceremony before the altar flanked
with white tapers and white snapdragons.
Bride Wears Satin
The bride, given in marriage by.
her father, wore a dress of white
slipper satin, made on princess
Unas with a yoke of lace and seed
pearls, long sleeves coming to
points at the wrists and a circular
train. Her fingertip veil of tulle
fell from a sweetheart halo trimmed
with seed pearls. She carried
bride's roses showered with sweet
peas.
The bride's sister-in-law, Mrs.
Mary Whalen Treble, as matron of
honor, wore a heavenly blue satin
dress made with fitted bodice and
full circular chiffon skirt and
Juliet cap. She carried pink
Radiance roses and sweet peas.
The best man was Lieut. John
W. Treble, home on furlough after
54 missions over Italy. Ushers
were Franklin Sahm and Charles
Treble.
The mother of the bride wore a
street-length dress of violet crepe
and hat to match. The groom's
mother wore a street-length dress
of Navy blue crepe and corresponding
hat. Both wore camellia corsages.
Many Lockport Guests
The groom's brother, Roy Beakman
of U. S. Navy and h i s wife
from Rockport, Tex., Pfc. Robert
Merricks and Cpl. Elliot Prince
from Ft. H. G. Wright, also many
friends and relatives from Lockport,
Olcott, Mlllersport and Canada
attended the wedding.
A reception to 35 guests followed
at the Mary Bums Tea Room. The
bride's table, forming the letter T,
was decorated with pink and white
carnations and centered with a
three-tiered wedding cake, topped
with a miniature bride and groom.
The bride chose for her traveling
suit coral pink with black accessor-
ies. After a wedding trip to Can-
ada, the bride will reside with her
parents for the duration.
