A quiet wedding was solemnized last
evening at 7:30 o'clock, at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. William Rech of J84
Payne avenue, when their niece Miss
Mable Carrington of East Felton street
was united in marriage to Mr. Elmer
Behrns of Washington street. Rev.
Willis P. Hume, pastor of the Third
Presbyterian Church performed the
ceremony, in the presence of thirty
relatives and friends. The house was
decorated with ferns and cut flowers
and the ceremony was performed under
an arch of smilax and flowers.
The bride was gowned in blue taffeta
and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums.
Miss Mable Kinzly, cousin
or the bridegroom was the maid-ofhonor
and was gowned in green taffeta
and carried yellow chrysanthemums.
Mr. Clarence Behrns, brother
of the bridegroom was the best man.
Miss Sarah Kinzly played the wedding
music. Following the ceremony the
wedding dinner was served, the dishes
of the bride's, grandmother being
used. Covers were laid for ten at the
bride's table. Decorations were carried
out in yellow and white. The
wedding gifts were numerous and
beautiful. Mr. and Mrs. Behrns will
be at home in their new residence in
95 Jackson avenue after December 15.
