Spring flowers adorned the altar of St. Luke's
Lutheran Church in Newfane at 3 p. m. Saturday
when Wanda Ruth Bassler exchanged nuptial vows
with Wayne H. Bobzien. The Rev. Klingbiel officiated
at the double-ring ceremony.
Spring flowers adorned the
altar when the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Berndt
of 6725 Moyer Road, Lockport
was given in marriage by her
father to the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Herman F. Bobzien of
2088 Lockport - Olcott Road,
Burt.
The bride chose a floorlength
gown of silk bombazine
with accents of Chantilly
lace, all underscored with ice
blue taffeta. The fitted bodice
and long princess sleeves of
lace topped the bouffant redingote
skirt which featured a
flowing train of lace scallops.
The scalloped neckline was
accented with paillettes and
baby seed pearls and her illusion
veil was caught by a
crown of matching lace and
crystals.
COLONIAL BOUQUET
She carried a colonial bouquet
of white carnations and
chrysanthemums.
Attired in an ice blue sheath
with matching overskirt was
the honor attendant, Miss
Mary Berndt of Lockport. The
gown was fashioned with a
portrait neckline and three-
quarter length sleeves. A Dior
bow of matching taffeta held
her circular face veil and she
carried a colonial bouquet of
white chrysnathemums and
blue tinted carnations.
Identically attired were
the attendants, Mrs. Arthur
Reimherr of Livonia, Mich.,
sister of the groom; Mrs. William
Miles of Corfu and Miss
Clara Bane of Lyndonville,
cousins of the bride.
Debra Riemherr and Steven
Reimherr of Livonia,
niece and nephew of the
groom, served as flower girl
and ring bearer.
Merle Volschow of Newfane,
attended his cousin as
best man with Arthur Reimherr
of Livonia, brother-inlaw
of the groom; John
Berndt Sr. of Lockport; and
Harold Bendt, of Burt, cousin
of the groom, sharing ushering
duties.
A pink brocade sheath was
the choice of Mrs. Berndt for
her daughter's wedding. She
completed her ensemble with
beige accessories and pink
carnations. Mrs. Bobzien,
mother of the groom, chose
a blue floral print dress
and added black and white accessories
and pink carnations.
FTVE-TIERED CAKE
Cy Roberts and his orchestra
provided music for danc-
ing at the wedding reception
which followed the ceremony
at the Newfane Fire Hall. a
five-tiered wedding cake
adorned with blue and white
flowers centered the bride's
table.
For her trip to Williamsburg,
Va., the bride chose a
powder blue suit with copen
blue accessories. Upon their
return, the couple will make
their home at 2088 Lockport-
Olcott Road, Burt.
The bride is a graduate of
Akron Central School and an
employe of Mt. View Hospital.
The groom, a graduate of
Newfane Central School, is
employed by the B. R. De-
Witt Co. of Spencerport.
Prenuptiai events include
showers given by Mrs. Harold
Bendt; Miss Mary Berndt;
and a couple's shower given
by Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Angelo,
Mr. and Mrs. William
Rieger, and Mr. and Mrs. La-

April 20, 1963 at St.
Luke's Lutheran Church, Main
St.. Newfane.
A reception will be held in
the Newfane Fire Hall following
the ceremony. All friends
and relatives are invited to
attend.
