Miss Helen M. Brodfuehrer's
engagement to Jerome F. Burngasser,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Burngasser of 24 Longs avenue,
Tonawanda, is announced by
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
A. Brodfuehrer of 420 Stanley
street, North Tonawanda. A summer
wedding is planned.

Saturday, July 13, 1946 at 10 a.m.
for the wedding of Miss Helen
Marie Brodfuehrer, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Brodfuehrer,
and Mr. Jerome Francis Burn-
gasser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos-
eph Burngasser. Te Rev. Joseph
Weber, cousin of the bride, of-
ficiated.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride chose a gown fashioned
with tight fitting bodice of white
satin, sweetheaart necklline trim-
med with lace and marquisette in-
sertion, long pointed sleeves edged
with lace and a full skirt of white
silk marquisette. Her full skirt
swept into a train and her long
sheer vail of white illusion, with
lace edging. fell from a crown
adorned with orange blossoms. She
carried a white prayer book topped
with gardenias and satin
streamers.
The maid of honor, Miss Rosalie
Brodfuehrer, sister of the bride,
was gowned in a blue twilled taf-,
feta, styled with an off the shoulder
neckline, short puffed sleeves,
long fitted bodice, hooped skirt
and bustle. The bridesmaids, Miss
Doris Brodfuehrer, Miss Ruth
Brodfuehrer, sisters of the Bride,
and Mrs. Bernice Bucur, sister of
the groom, were gowned in peach
moire taffeta, styled with sweetheart
neckline , short puffed
sleeves, long fitted bodice, full
Skirt and bustle. The bride's at-
tendants wore a braided taffeta
bandeau to match their gowns and
carried arm bouquets of talisman
roses, yellow daisies, baby breathe
and sweet peas. The flower girl,
Miss Ann Breier, cousin of the
bride, wore a blue twilled taffeta
gown with pink and lace insertion
and carried a colonial Bouquet
of mixed flowers. T h e gift
to the bride's attendants was a
strand of pearls.
Mr. MIchael Burngasser was his
brother's best man and te ushers
were Messrs. Norbert Burngasser,
James Burngasser, brothers of the
groom, and Richard Brodfuehrer,
brother of the bride.
The bride's mother was attired
in an aquamarine frock with white
accessories and the bridegroom's
mother favored a Brown print
dress with white accessories. They
both wore a corsage of red roses,
baby breaths, forget-me-nots and
yellow daisies.
A breakfast for the immediate
families was given in Catherine
Lawrence's Tea Room on Delaware
avenue, Buffalo. Also, attending
the breakfast was the
Rev. Monsignore Weismantel, Rev.
F. Hunt and Rev. A. LaRusch. A
reception was held in the evening
at the VFW Hall, corner of Robinson
and Oliver, tor 300 guests.
For a motor trip to the Adiron-
dacks, Mrs. Jerome Burngasser
chose a pink mesh dress with
white accessories and a corsage of
gardenias. When they return from
their honeymoon,, the cuple will
reside at 24 Longs avenue, Ton-
awanda.
