A very pretty wedding was solemnized
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
George Olmstead in Chittenango Wednesday
evening, November 8, 1916, at
8 o'clock, . when their daughter,
Blanche Ethel, and Mr. Robert W.
Bender were united in marriage.
The ceremony was performed by
Rev. L. H. Pearce and the ring service
was used. While the ceremony was
being performed "Oh Promise Me" was
sang by Miss Fannie Walrath.
The bride's gown was of white
China silk with pearl trimmings. She
fore a wreath of orange blossoms and
pearls in her hair.
The bride and bridegroom were attended
by Miss Anna Bender and Mr.
Morton Bender, brother and sister of
the bridegroom, and Mr. and Mrs.
Dwight L. Kinney, she being sister of
the bride.
Miss Ethel Thayer, a niece of the
bride, was ring bearer, carrying the
ring on a white satin pillow. Miss
Amy Corp of Chittenango played the
wedding march.
The house was decorated with cedar
and white garlands, dark green and
white being the colors. An arch was
built of cedar and a white wedding
bell hung in the center.
Following the ceremony a reception
was held and Mr. and Mrs. Bender
then left amid the best wishes of their
friends for the East, where they will
visit friends and relatives in Gloversville.
