MISS Gertrude Benwitz. daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. William Benwitz
of Winterroth Street, and
Donald C. Markham of Syracuse
were united in marriage Saturday
afternoon in the parlors of Salem
Lutheran Church. The ceremony
was performed by the Rev. Paul
Schroeder.
The bride wore a gown of white
silk organza and a shoulder
length veil, and carried a cascade
bouquet of white roses and lilies.
Miss Lorraine Benwitz was her
sister's only attendant, and was
gowned in blue silk organza. She
wore a pink halo in her hair and
carried pink roses and blue snap-
dragons.
Clarence Nather Jr. was best
man for Mr Markham.
Following the ceremony a reception
was held at the Roosevelt.
Out of town guests attending in-
cluded Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Mark-
ham, Miss Katherine Markham,
Miss Alice Markham, Owen Mc-
Manus, Dean Smith, Peter Keis-
gans, Roy Wahl and Clair Mark-
ham of Syracuse and Harry Hutch-
ison of Auburn.
Mr. and Mrs. Markham are mak-
ing their home in Syracuse.
