Miss Margaret Bevacqua. daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peracqua, of
633 Sixteenth street, became the
bride of James Riggie. son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Riggie. of 161 Twentieth
street, at a simple. Impressive ceremony
performed Saturday morning at
9 o'clock In St. Joseph's church by
the Rev. George A O'Neill.
The bride, who entered the church
on the arm of her father, wore an exquisite
chiffon gown with pleated
Insert In the front. A long chiffon
velvet coat made on princess lines
with leg-of-mutton sleeves, with train,
trimmed with a tiny band of orange
blossoms at the neckline, covered the
dress with the exception of the front
pleatei. Clips of orange blossoms
caught the coat In small, dainty
tucks at the neck and waist. Her
flowing veil was of bonnet style, with
clusters of orange blossoms placed at
the center of the cap. She carried a
bouquet of white roses and Miesof-
the-valley.
Miss Isabel Donia, who acted as
maid of honor, wore coral moire taffeta
with gold accessories and carried
a bouquet of yellow tea roses.
The bridesmaids, the Misses Grace
Zuccaria. Rose Chido and Jennie
Riggie. were gowned alike In aquamarine
moire taffeta, silver acccssor-
ies and bouquets of Talisman roses
completed their striking outfits.
Tiny Miss Norma Bevacqua was
flower girl .She wore coral talfeta
with aquamarine bows and matching
hair ribbon.
Morley Trunzo was best man and
Peter Nicosia, Samuel LeLaura and
Frank Bevacqua were ushers.
The bride's mother wore maroon
silk with black accessories. The
groom's mother chose black silk with
matching accessories. Both wore attractive
shoulder corsages.
Following the ceremony, dinner was
served to nearly 100 guests at the
Plantation. Later the young couple
were honored at a reception held in
the Odd Fellows hall which was attended
by more than 300 guests.
Among pre-nuptlal entertainments
honoring the brlde were: Mrs. Peracqua.
a variety shower; Mrs. Joseph
Bcrtanl, crystal shower; Miss Isabel
Donia, variety shower, and the Misses
Cary Layo and Betty Pontpinto,
kitchen shower. Fellow-employes at
the R. and H. Chemical department
of the E. I. duPont deNemours and
company presented the bride with a
hospitality tray. The couple also received
many beautiful wedding gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Riggie left at the
close of the reception on a three weeks
motor trip to Florida. On their return
they will reside at 616 Twentieth
street.
