A quiet summer wedding took place
at the parsonage of the First Pres
byterian Church in Batavia, the Rev.
John T. Lyon offlciating, at 4:30
o'clock on Saturday afternoon, July
5, when Florence Leora Blood,
granddaughter of Walter S. Blood of
the Galloway road, Batavia, became
the bride of Lester Niles Jannain,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester K. Jan-,
nain of Elba.
The bride was attended by Mrs.
Leon Watson of Elba. The bride
wore a street-length dress of white
crepe, with white hat and acceseories
and an orchid corsage. Mrs.
Watson wore a pink and white twopiece
dress with white accessories
and nad a corsage of pink caraations.
Mr. Watson was the beat man.
Following the ceremony a smali
reception was held at Young's Restaurant
in Batavia for close relatives
and friends, after which the couple
left for a short trip through the Adirondacks.
They are reaiding at Elba.
The bride ia a graduate of the class
of 1941 of Elba Central School. The
bridegroom is a graduate of the
class of 1945 of the Elba school and
spent two years in the armed forces,
several months of which were spent
in Italy.
