celebrated their golden wedding
anniversary when they
were honored at a reception at
the Loyal Order of Moose Hall,
given by their children.
Mr. Bowser and the former
Mabel Mae Brocious were
married Sept. 14, 1922, at
Brockville, Pa. Hosts at the
party were the five children of
Mr. and Mrs. Bowser - Mr.
and Mrs. William Vicaire, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Jones, Mr.
and Mrs. John Grannis, Paul
Bowser "Jr. and Mrs. David
Leonard, Leadville, Colo., who
made her first trip home in
nine years for the occasion.
Among out-of-town guests were
the Rev. and Mrs. Spurgeon
Witherow Jr., Erie, Pa. The
Rev. Mr. Witherow is a
nephew.
Mr. Bowser retired in 1966
after 25 years service with The
Carborundum Co. The couple
has 12 grandchildren and 9
great-grandchildren.
