Mr and Mrs Coral C
Brewster of Congress Street.
Moravia, celebrated their 60th
wedding anniversary with an
informal open house for friends
and neighbors last Monday
The couple was married April
12, 1916. with Rev Thomas
Husk officiating at the home of
the bride, the former Alma
Hulda Redman, in Mernfield. a
former hamlet between Scipio
Center and Scipioville
Attendants were Millicent
Strong Baker and Harris
Brewster, brother of the groom
The small anniversary party
was given by their children.
Mary E Brewster Myers and
Everett C Brewster The
Brewsters have four grandchildren.
Richard Myers.
Robert Myers. Edward
Brewster and Sandra Perkins
Their great-grandchildren are
MariBeth Brewster: Jay Scott
Perkins. Linda Marie Myers
and John Richard Myers Jr
Mr Brewster was in the
farming and trucking business
until his retirement in 1957, and
Mrs Brewster worked at the
Aurora Inn
They have moved often
during their married life, living
in Mernfield, Poplar Ridge and
Moravia, but generally staying
in the Southern Cayuga area
Both have remained active in
their retirement Mr Brewster
has a number of hobbies, including
cabinet-making,
woodworking and collecting
clocks, and Mrs Brewster is
involved in activities at the
Moravia Congregational
Church.
Special occasions in honor of
their anniversary also included
dinner at Mineral Springs on
Sunday and a visit from" their
maid of honor at the open house.
