Wednesday evening at eight o'clock
at the home of the bride's parents on
Lockport Road occurred the marriage
of Miss Julia Amanda Witmer. and
Walter Gowans Hotchkiss of Scranton.
Pa. The ceremony was porfornied' in
the presence of the relatives and a
few verv intimate friends of t h e couple
the Rev. Mr. Pardee of Williamsville,
an uncle of the bride, officiating.
The bride looked very pretty in a
gown of white chiffon trimmed with
Valenciennes lace. She carried no flowers
and there were no a t t e n d a n t s . The
house- was effectively decorated with
pink and white carnations and ferns.
Immediately following the ceremony
the happy young couple received the
congratulations and best wishes of
their friends after which a delicious
wedding supper was served. The
bride's table was decorated with pink
and white carnations, covers being
laid for 16.
Mr. and Mrs. Hotchkiss left last
night for Jamaica where they will spend
their honeymoon and upon their return
will make their home in Scranton.
Among the out of town guests were
Mr. and Mrs. Hotchkiss, Mr. and Mrs.
browning, Miss Kelly and Miss Hotch-
kiss of Buffalo, Mr. and Mrs. A. Wit-
mer of Williamsville, Mr. and Mrs. Hil-
man of Clarence, Mr. and Mrs. Rich-
ardson of Williamsville and Mr. and
Mrs. Davis of Fort Read, Canada.
