Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Schurr Honored On Golden Wedding Anniversary
Mr.. and Mrs. Albert F. Schurr of 84 Allan street celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Wednesday and in the evening were honor guests at a dinner and reception in the home of their daughter, Mrs. Harold F. Bollier,150 East Felton street Covers were laid for fourteen at the dinner where the table was arranged entirely in gold and white with pom poms, white candles in gold holders, and gold favors. Seventy five attended the reception in the evening, including guests from Detroit, Mich, Buffalo and the Tonawandas. The rooms were beautifully decorated with gift flowers in a predominating color scheme of gold and white and presiding at the buffet table were Mrs. Leonard Cumming and Mrs. Howard LaRose. Miss Shirley Graves and Miss Shirley Helwig were the assistants.Mr. and Mrs. Schurr were married fifty years ago in Buffalo and have resided in North Tonawanda for past forty-three years. Their two daughters are Mrs. Edward Mayes of 228 Jackson avenue and Mrs. Bollier, and their two sons are Mr. Edward Schurr of Detroit, Mich., who was present for the occasion and Mr. William Schurr of San Diego, Cal. who was unable to attend but congratulated his parents by telephone.They also have six grandchildren.Mr. and Mrs. Schurr were the recipients of many gifts and congratulatory messages.
