John "Jack" A. Heist

MUNDELEIN, IL — Visitation for John "Jack" A. Heist is from 4-8 PM Monday and one hour prior to services from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 24500 N. Old McHenry Rd., Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047. Funeral service, 11 AM Tuesday at church with the interment to follow in St. Matthew Cemetery.
Jack was born October 15, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY, and died Friday, August 3, 2012, at home. He graduated from Niagara University in 1955, and received his MBA in 1981. Jack collected and raced sports cars. He was a member of VSCDA and the Mundelein American Legion Post #867.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Susan (Michael) Turchi, Margaret (Peter) Heist-Kasin, John (Laura) Heist, Jr.; four grandchildren, Matthew, Jackie, Taylor and Madison.
