- Catherine G. Virtuoso, 68, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2022, at Niagara Hospice House after a long, courageous battle with several illnesses over the years. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Catherine (Blair) Wroblewski.
Catherine attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On May 17, 1975, she married her beloved husband, John Virtuoso. Catherine was employed by the Niagara Falls Board of Education as a Pre-K Classroom Associate for over 15 years prior to her retirement.
As an avid gardener with a true green thumb, Catherine enjoyed tending to her gardens daily. She loved decorating her home, and was also a talented seamstress and artist who loved designing anything from costumes to wreaths. Above all, her utmost pride and joy in life were her grandchildren, who she loved spending time with.
In addition to her husband of 47 years, Catherine is survived by her children, Sara (Frank) Strangio and Jonathan (Marissa) Virtuoso; her grandchildren, Dominic, Sofia and Frankie Strangio, and Maxwell and Cole Virtuoso; her siblings, Mary Ann Wroblewski, Veronica (Joseph) Pullano, Theresa Weaver and Joseph Wroblewski, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 6 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Catherine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military, Niagara Falls, NY.
