Notes - CAROLINE L. UMHOLTZ, age 98 of Niagara Falls, NY, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at her residence, while under the care of her loving granddaughter and Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 8, 1921; daughter of the late Frederick and Emelie (Schultz) Wruck. Caroline was a former member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, and currently a member of St. James Lutheran Church, in Bergholz. She had been employed at Kimberly Clark, Jenss, Garland Amusements, and was a cook and lunch aid at LaSalle Senior High School, and 66th. Street School, where she was known to many as "grandma". Caroline enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, John (Beth Delahoy) Wruck of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Jeff Wruck and Andrew Wruck of Tennessee, John and Kristy Wruck of Williamsville, NY, Amy and Steven Gizzarelli, Katie and Andrew Dysard, Stephanie and Gary Camidge, and Stephen Wruck , all of Niagara Falls; and several great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will take place with the family, at Niagara Falls Memorial Park. There will be no prior visitation, and memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Caroline's life, in St. James Fellowship Hall. The date and time will be announced once it is finalized.
