  Obituary from Evening News of the Tonawandas August 8, 1925 Herman A. Rasch Dies Suddenly Native of Germany Is Stricken With Apoplexy In 63rd Year Herman A. Rasch, sixty-two years old, died suddenly last night at his home, No. 113 Ward road. He was stricken with apoplexy shortly before death. Born in Germany, Rasch came to the Tonawandas with his parents when only four years old, living here the rest of his life. He was a member of the local branch of the Foresters of America, the North Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent association and the Buffalo Bolt company Mutual Benefit association. Surviving are a wife, three sons, August, Alvin and Andrew Rasch, all of the Tonawandas; a daughter, Mrs. William Karre of Niagara Falls, N. Y.; four grandchildren, one brother, A. C. Rasch of North Tonawanda, and five sisters, Mrs. G. Winter, Mrs. John Doty, Mrs. Lawrence Donner and Mrs. Bert Brado of the Tonawandas and Mrs. F. Richardson of Niagara Falls. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at the St. Peters church, Rev. Theodore E. Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the Sweeney cemetery.
