Mrs. Lee Lewis, 41, of 77 Barringer
Road, Ilion, and formerly of Con-
stableville, died Tuesday, Feb. 14,
in Ilion Hospital, after a short illness.
Mrs. Ruth Wynn Lewis was born at
Constableville, a daughter of Thomas
and the late Elizabeth Wynn. She
attended Constableville school and in
1935 was married to Lee lewis. For
the past twelve years Mr. and Mrs.
Lewis have lived in Iliion. Mrs. Lewis
was district deputy of the Order of
Amaranth, deputy of District 9
which includes Herkimer, Fulton and
Montgomery counties, an officer of
Evening Star Chapter, O.E.S. and
a past Matron of Oriental Court,
Order of the Amaranth. She was a
member of the Presbyterian church.
Surviving besides her husband and
sonn Robert, are: Her father, Thomas
Wynn.: two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy
Ainsworth, of Syracuse, and Mrs.
Marion Schwenk, of this place; one
brother. Richard Wynn, of Constableville;
seven nieces. The Evening
Star O. E S., held their service from
her late home Thursday evening, and
a private funeral was held Friday
afternoon at her home. Relatives at-
tended the funeral from Constable-
ville were Mrs. Marion Schwenk,
daughters. Mildred and Lauretta; Mrs.
Leo Northam, Mr .and Mrs. Henry
Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wynn,
Mr Thomas Wynn, also Mrs. Lucinda
Sunderhaft, Mr. and Mrs.. Charles
Evans, of Turin.
