  Benson A. Benton Sr., born in Berry Brook, NY on December 22, 1917 and passed away peacefully on May 14, 2017. He is a retired United Methodist minister, World War II veteran, and a member of the Masonic Fraternity. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence J. Benton, brothers Robert H. Benton Sr., Paul Benton (Leah), and Bill Benton (Kitty). He is survived by his three children: Benson A. Benton, Jr. (Judy), Hugh M. Benton II (Rebecca), and Helen Smith (David). He is also survived by six granddaughters and 5 great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial service at St. James United Methodist Church on June 24th at 10 AM followed by a Masonic service. Interment will be at Acacia Cemetary at 12:30.
