NIAGARA FALLS — Jeffrey J. Joseph, of Niagara Falls, NY, went home to be with his Savior on Saturday, November 19, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late James “Smokey” and Helen (Hammam) Joseph.
Jeffrey was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. He retired from the former Tondisco Company in North Tonawanda, NY. He was a current member of the Niagara River Yacht Club in North Tonawanda and the International Order of the Blue Gavel. Jeffrey was an avid boater and enjoyed being the captain of his boat “On the Job”. He was also past Commodore and Board Member of the LaSalle Yacht Club in Niagara Falls. A man of many talents, Jeffrey loved lending a helping hand to family and friends.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Joseph; two children, Jeffrey J. (Doreen) Joseph, Jr. of Brookfield, MA, and Jeremy J. (Diane) Joseph of Cuba, NY; six grandchildren; step-daughters, Michele (Fred) Zawacki and the late Mary Beth Frain; four step-grandchildren; three loving brothers, James (Marge) Joseph of Williamsburg, VA, Jerome (Joann) Joseph of Potomac, MD, Joel (Amina) Joseph of Dearborn Heights, MI; one dear sister, Jacqueline (Ronald) Birmingham of Suffield, CT; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service to honor the life of Jeffrey will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Forestview Church of God, 1250 Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Ronald Maines officiating. Arrangements by M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
