NIAGARA FALLS — Mary Beth (Gladish) Frain, 45, of Niagara Falls, NY, died suddenly at home on Thursday, June 16, 2011. Born in Lewiston, NY, she was the daughter of Nancy J. (Piegnet) Joseph, step-daughter of Jeffrey J. Joseph of Niagara Falls, NY, and daughter of the late Michael Gladish.
Mary Beth graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in 1983, Niagara County Community College in 1985 and Buffalo State Teachers College in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude. She was most recently employed at Sevenson Environmental Services and was the controller of the former Mt. View Health Facility in Lockport, NY. She also served in a similar capacity at Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Niagara Falls, NY. At the time of her death she was a newspaper carrier for the Niagara Gazette, a job she enjoyed. Above all, Mary Beth devoted her life to taking care of her children.
In addition to her mother and step-father, Mary Beth is survived by her two children, Hailee Frain and Jacob Frain, both of Niagara Falls, NY; her dear sister, Michele (Fred) Zawacki of Niagara Falls, NY; her brothers, Michael (Debbie) Gladish of California and Mathew (Kim) Gladish of Lewiston, NY; her niece, Ashley Zawacki; and nephew, Joshua Zawacki. She was the loving granddaughter of James B. (late Genevieve) Fisher of Lewiston, NY, late Andrew and late Josephine Piegnet, and is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 3-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Ronald Maines officiating. Interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
