A beautiful fall wedding took
place Thursday, October 10, at high
noon in the home of Mr. and Mrs.
George F. MacDonald, Stone Quarry
road, Monaca, Pa. when the mar-
riage of Miss Helen Ruth Robinson
of Erie, Pa. and Carl Richard
Yngve of Pittsburgh, Pa., was quiet-
ly solemnized. The Rev. Charles
Read, pastor Redeemer Luth-
eran church, Monaca, Pa., officiated.
The most attractive setting was in
the living room before a massive
stone fireplace which was profusely
decorated with chrysanthemums and
gladioli in an array of autumn hues.
Tall white tapers burned on the
mantle throughout the ceremony.
Mr. MacDonald sang "O Promise
Me" and Mrs. J. Edward Harper
at the piano played soft wedding
music. The bride was gowned in a
soldier blue traveling costume with
a corsage of orchids and liles-of-
the-valley. Mrs. Lewis H Colpoys,
of this city, the only attendant,
wore violet crepe and a corsage of
pink tea roses. Mr. Adolphe Yngve,
the groom's father, acted as best
man.
The groom's mother wore brown
crepe with gold accessories and a
corsage of Talisman roses. After
the Ceremony a wedding breakfast
was served in the home, the guests
facing a cheerful log fire which
blazed on the hearth. The bride's
table was laid with a lovely Italian
cutwork linen cloth. The bride's
cake served as a centerpiece, flanked
on either side by tapers in crystal
candlebra and pink rosebuds in
crystal holders.
Immediately afterward, the newlyweds
left on a trip to Cleveland
and other points of interest in Ohio.
Upon their return they will be at
home a t 149 Avenue A, Forest Hills,
Pittsburgh, Pa.
Both the bride and groom are
former residents of Niagara Falls.
Mr. Yngve, a graduate of Purdue
university, is the only son of Mr. and
Mrs. Adolphe Yngve, Buffalo avenue.
The bride attended Niagara Falls
high school and the Stella Niagara
academy and is the only daughter of
Mr. Rufus Robinson, of this city.
Miss Edith Yngve. of this city,
aunt of the groom, was also present.
