NORTH TONAWANDA - Raymond
Young 14. son of Mr and
Mrs Anson Young of the Campbell
boulevard town of Pendleton, who
was fatally Injured yesterday when
struck in the head bv the dipper of
a steam shovel on the George Win-
ter farm In the.boulevard, town of
Amherst, was employed by Benjamin
Donner. of the Donner road
near lockport The boy's skull was
crushed when the dipper struck him
He was removed to the Wendelville
garage in the truck and from
there was taken to the office of Dr
J. E. Helwig. in Martinsville. In an
automobile driven by Carl Schoelles.
one of the proprietors of the
Wendelville garage Dr Helwig ordered
the lad removed to the De-
Graff Memorial hospital he died
enroule.
The youth was engaged in driving
the truck being operated by
Dormer m connection with the digging
of a ditch on the Winter farm.
The body was removed to the fu-
neral home of Louis Nagel In Her-
tel Avenue. Buffalo.
The boy"s father Is employed at
the Tonawanda plant of the Columbus
McKlnnon Chain company.
