BUFFALO UF)-Physical,
psychological and psychiatric
tests have been ordered
for a 13-year-old boy
who is accused of shooting
his father to death.
The examinations were ordered
Tuesday for Jimmy Collins
at his arraignment in
Family Court on a juvenile
delinquency charge. Howard
O. Collins, 38, a tavern owner
and; politician, was slain
Sunday at the family home
in suburban Grand Island.
Police, said the shooting
took place during a dispute
over the boy's romance with
16-year-old G r a c e Muetel.
They said young Collins had
admitted the shooting.
The boy and his girlfriend
remained silent at the arraignment.
She was charged
with being a person in need
of supervision and was released
in the custody of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Muetel.,
The pair were arrested in
New York City Monday and
returned to Buffalo.
The tests for Collins were
to be conducted over a period
not to exceed 30 days.
