Mrs. Martha E. Pletcher, widow of
Franklin Pletcher, of this city, died at
3 o'clock yesterday afternoon In Rochester.
The funeral will be held from
the Cornell and Daggett funeral chapel,
Main street, at 2:30 p. m. Saturday.
Burial will be In Rlverdale cemetery.
Mrs. Pletcher was born In the old
Wltmer homestead on the Lockport
road, four miles east of this city. She
was the daughter of Joseph and. Catherine
Wltmer, pioneer residents of Niagara
county. She had lived In Niagara
county for over 60 years and was well
known and highly respected. She was
most active In the affairs of the Church
of Christ, Niagara avenue and Tenth
street, and was also an ardent member
of the Willard W. C. T. U. She was
honored a few years ago by being made
a life member of the national W. C. T.
U.
For the past ten years years. Pletcher
has ben living with hef daughter and
family In Rochester. Her death follow-
ed a lingering Illness of four years,
which she bore with great patience and
Christian fortitude. She is survived by
her daughter, Mrs. Charles Eshelman,
of Rochester; a slater, Mrs. A. R, Laur,
of this city; and four grandchildren,
Carl W. Dorothy and Russell Eshelmah,
of Rochester, and Mrs. John I. Ormond,
of Baltimore
