  Catherine Amelia Witmer, was born Nov. 28, 1850. Althought as a child execeptionally fair in form and feature and mentally bright, she was stricken with occasional attacks of Epilepsy while teething, which clung to her during life, despite all remidies for relief, rendering her an object of special care, solicitude and sympathy of all the family. Her memory was remarkable. She could give the date of birth of any member of the family at any time when asked. She died in the family home June 17, 1899
