- Gary L. Greenwald Obituary
Gary L. Greenwald of Wilson, NY husband of Karen Glover Greenwald entered into rest on January 19, 2024, at home. He was born in Lockport, NY on November 11, 1945, son of the late Levi Greenwald and Alice Zastrow Greenwald. Gary served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War, where he served 3 tours of duty. He worked for the Village of Wilson. Gary loved the Outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and helping anybody with a project. He was a member of the Wilson Conservation club, Wilson American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America 268, Ridgewood Bible Church and was a Boy Scout Leader.
Father of Frederick Greenwald. Grandfather of Skyler Greenwald. Brother of Vallie (Gary) Alt, Carlton “Corky” (Kelly) Greenwald and the late Brenda Donovan. Brother-in-law of Roger Donovan, Christine Nagao and Marsha (DeWaine) Florez. Uncle of Aaron Greenwald, Matthew (Andrea) Greenwald, Carlene (Joe) Butler, Ben (Becky) Wortkoetter, Andy Wortkoetter, Michael Dethlefts, Dennis Dethlefts and Bonnie Brunner. Also survived by 7 great nieces and nephews and many cousins. Gary also leaves behind his beloved dog “Teddy Bear”.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday February 10, 2024, at 11am in the Ridgewood Bible Church 7073 Ridge Road Lockport, NY 14094. In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094 or Ridgewood Bible Church.
