TO BE BRIDE: Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mis, 157 7th Ave.,
announce the engagement of their daughter. Elizabeth Barbara,
to Robert F. Zastrow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Zastrow, 44 Fillner Ave. Both are graduates of North
Tonawanda High School. The wedding is planned May 2
in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. The future bride is
an employe of the First Trust Oflice, Marine Trust Co.
Her fiance is employed at Buffalo Bolt Co., Division of
Buffalo Eclipse Corp.

Miss Elizabeth Barbara Mis and Robert F. Zastrow
were married May 2 in a double ring ceremony in
Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The Rev. Vincent Cyman per-
formed the ceremony before an
altar adorned with white pom
pons. The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Mis, 157
7th Ave. and the bridegroom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Zastrow, 44 Fillner Ave.
Mrs. Eugene Smolka was the
Mass soloist. The bride placed
white carnations at the altar of
the Virgin Mary.
The bride's gown of peau de
soie was fashioned with a portrait
neckline, outlined in Alencon
lace, and long sleeves. Accenting
the intermission - length bell skirt
were puffs of peau de soie and
lace applique. Lace formed the
chapel - length train. A matching
lace cloche held her veil of French
illusion and she carried a cascade
bouquet of white orchids,
purple lip and white roses.
Miss Marilyn D. Mis attended
her sister as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Miss Marcia A.
Mis, the bride's cousin and Miss
Aline Krzywda.
They were identically dressed in
orchid silk organza dresses with
portrait necklines and cap sleeves.
Princess panel fronts were outlined
with deeper tint Venice lace
appliques and colored green
leaves in the harem skirts. They
wore matching hats of sik or-
ganza with fluted ruffle trim. The
maid of honor carried yellow
sweetheart roses and white pompons
and the bridesmaids, De-
Moone roses and orchid pompons.
The flower girl, Debra A. Zastrow,
sister of the bridegroom,
wore a white taffeta frock and a
crown of orchid flowers and velvet
streamers. Her miniature bouquet
was like the bridesmaids.
Robert N. Dehlinger was the
best man. Gerald F. Zastrow and
Donald E. Zastrow, the bridegroom's,
brothers, and Thomas R.
Mis, the bride's brother, were ushers.
Martin Mis, the bride's cousin,
was the ringbearer.
Mrs. Mis chose a willow green
silk shantung dress, matching
shoes and pink accessories. Mrs.
Zastrow wore a black and white
organza ensemble with matching
accessories. Both wore orchid corsages.
The bride's table at a reception
in Stephen Sikora Post, American
Legion home, was centered with
a four-tier wedding cake and
white candles decorated with lily
of the valley and blue ribbons. Out
of town guests were from France;
Florida; Connecticut; Cleveland;
Niagara Falls and Grand Island.
For a trip to the Pocono Mountains
in Pennsylvania, the bride
wore a light green suit, beige accessories
and an orchid corsage.
When they return May 10, Mr. and
Mrs. Zastrow will make t h e ir
home in 306 Shartle PI.

were given by Mesdames Thomas
Mis, Elmer Zastrow, the Misses
Marilyn Mis, Barbara Zastrow
and Aline Krzywda; the Misses
Janice Strassburg, Helen Williams

bride's aunts.

Notes - Obituary for Elizabeth B. (nee Mis) Zastrow
Elizabeth B. (nee Mis) Zastrow, 85 of North Tonawanda, Wednesday (July 23, 2025) at home surrounded by her family. Elizabeth was born in North Tonawanda on May 1, 1940, to Thomas and Helen (Koszlowski) Mis. Elizabeth was the beloved sweetheart of 51 years to the late Robert F. Zastrow, who died in 2011. Elizabeth was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the DeGraff Ladies Auxiliary. Elizabeth was predeceased by her brothers Thomas (Gerri) and Daniel Mis.
Elizabeth is survived by her dearest children Christopher (Lynette) Zastrow, Michele Brannan, Diana (James) Link, Deirdre (Todd) Devonshire, Jennifer (Michael III) Colucci and Eric (Kimberly) Zastrow, dear sister Marilyn (Jon) Campbell, sister in law Deb (Bob) Rocke, loving grandchildren Nicholas (Tristin) Brannan, Jared Zastrow, Carly (Rick) Mullins, Michael (Ashley) Colucci, Samantha (Tim) Taylor, Robert Colucci, Elizabeth (Connor) Stalker, Kyle Zastrow, Ashley Farley, Tyler Zastrow, Victoria (Lucas) Kozub, Rebecca Link, Mary Zastrow, Sydney Devonshire, Madeline Zastrow, and Ava Zastrow, great grandchildren Kegan Mullins, Cooper Brannan, Kensley Mullins, Coy and Collins Brannan, Benjamin Farley, Dominick Farley, Gage Taylor, Kaia Mullins, Calvin Colucci, Oliver Farley, Josephine Colucci, Brinley Taylor, Maxwell Kozub, and Harper Stalker, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
No prior visitation. Relatives and friends are asked to gather at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church (Oliver St.) for a Memorial Mass to be celebrated Tuesday, (July 29, 2025) at 9:30 AM.
