  Tonawanda News - 3/10/1937 Fred Hildebrandt Claimed By Death Fred Hildebrandt, 78 years old,well know resident of North Tonawanda for many years, died suddenly last night of a heart attack at his home, 201 Wheatfield.Born in Germany, Mr. Hildebrandt came to America at the age of five. For the past 50 years he lived in North Tonawanda. As a Democrat he was elected to two terms as an alderman and later was elected supervisor for a period of six years. He served as an alderman from the second ward from 1908 to 1912 inclusive. Elected supervisor in the same ward in the fall of 1915 he served in that capacity from 1916 to 1922 inclusive.He was a building contractor for many years and conducted a grocery store here for 13 years.He leaves a wife, Margaret;two sons, Frederick G. and Louis H.; a daughter, Emma; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Rites will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence. Rev. John H. Sprock will conduct the services and burial will be in Acacia Park.
