  Niagara Gazette - 10/6/1966 NIAGARA FALLS, Ont.-John Walter Zeiger, 79, of 1555 River Road, died unexpectedly today (Oct. 6, 1966) at his home. He was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and had. lived there throughout his earlier years, graduating from Niagara Falls High School. He was well known as a baseball player, being pitcher for the Stars and Stripes semi-pro team in that city. Employed with the purchasing department of Niagara- Hudson Power (now Niagara Mohawk), he continued with the company on moving to this city 37 years ago. He retired in 1946. Survivors include his widow, the former Millicent Mary Biggar; and a daughter, Marion Zeiger, at home. Friends may call at the Morse and Son Chapel, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
