(nee Zellner) Joyner, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away May 19, 2014, at the age of 68, surrounded by her loving family. Former wife of Harold T. Joyner; devoted mother of Tammy (Dennis) Tauriello, Tina (William) Foster, Timothy (Jennifer) Joyner, Joe (Erica) Tortorella and the late Thomas Joyner; loving grandmother of Laura and Ryan Joyner, Troy Smith, Jessica Tauriello, Samuel, Liliana, and Gianna Tortorella; sister of Betty Ann (Claude)Houston, Richard "Joe" Zellner, Diane (late Bill) Steur, Mary Lou (John) Berg, Earl "Thomas" Zellner, Candace Reed, James "Jinx" Zellner, Linda (George) Stickney, Nancy Schultz and the late Franklin "Sonny" Zellner, Patricia Thompson and Michael Zellner; 38 nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Lester H. Wedekindt, Inc. Funeral Home, 3290 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, and are all invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Christopher's RC Church, Thursday morning at 9:30. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift in Shyla's memory to the Boys and Girls Club of the Northtowns, 325 Franklin St., Tonawanda, NY 14150. Shyla was a loving member of the local community and went out of her way to help others at all times. She volunteered with many organizations and was always there for others in need. She was most proud of her children and grandchildren and their many accomplishments. Shyla loved her family and spent as much time with them as she could. With her loving smile and infectious personality, she was "there" for everyone. Shyla was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all her family and friends.
