  REES - Mertie Alzina Rees, 80, of 33 Spruce St., North Tonawanda, Monday (April 15, 1974) in Mt. View Hospital, Lockport. Born in Spartansburg, Pa., she was the wife of the late Asa E. Rees. She had resided in North Tonawanda for 31 years. She is survived by four sons, Lyle A. (Helen) Rees, Smethport, Pa., Wayne C. (Mary) Rees, Vernon G. (Ruth) Rees and Dana L. Rees, all of North Tonawanda; three daughters. Miss Wava M. Rees, Mrs. Melvin J. (Donna) Reitsch and Mrs. Rudolph D. (Delia) Kirschner, all of North Tonawanda. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sweitzer Funeral Home in Port Allegany, Pa., where services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany, Pa. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetic Association.
