NIAGARA FALLS - Paul J. Eddy, 84, died Wednesday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a short illness.
The lifelong resident of Niagara Falls attended Sacred Heart School, North Junior High School and Trott Vocational High School.
He was employed by the B.F. Goodrich Chemical Co. for 26 years, as a chemical foreman, until the plant closed in 1971.
He and his wife, the former Virginia Mack, ran Sanborn Liquor in Sanborn from 1972 to 1982.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and Lodge 785, Free and Accepted Masons.
Mr. Eddy enjoyed spending summers at the family place in Muskoka Lake, Ont.
In addition to his wife of 59 years, survivors include two daughters, Janette Carver of Sanborn and Dawn Cottrill of Erin, Ont.; a brother, John of Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, Geraldine Lewin of Lewiston and Mary Dussler of Clearwater, Fla.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Zion Lutheran Church, 1010 Michigan Ave. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
