  July 4, 2012 Virginia M. Eddy Niagara Gazette NIAGARA FALLS — Virginia M. Eddy, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at her residence. Born on June 9, 1921 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Vera (Lee) Mack. Mrs. Eddy was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. Virginia also attended both business and nursing schools. On September 22, 1945, she married Paul Eddy. He predeceased her on November 10, 2005. Mrs. Eddy worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Virginia was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, NY, as well as the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and reading. Mrs. Eddy loved spending time at her cottage. Mrs. Eddy is survived by two children, Dawn (Richard) Cottrill of Erin, Ontario, Canada and Janette (Tim) Carver of Sanborn, NY, and was predeceased by one daughter, Janelle (James of Youngstown, NY) Wegener. Virginia is also survived by six grandchildren, James (Janet) Wegener of Niagara Falls, NY, Doris Carver of Billings, MT, Janelle Katherine (Frank) Dengate of Niagara Falls, NY, Jeanette (Richard) Koch of North Tonawanda, NY, Paul Carver of Sanborn, NY, and Jennifer (Benjamin) Bailey of Oneida, NY; four great-grandchildren, Shaun, Alexander, Grace and Molly; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 11:00 AM in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1010 Michigan Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Private burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1010 Michigan Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.
