Stricker-Maxsom
A lovely wedding was solemnized
at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran
church Saturday. June 21. at 6
o'clock, when Miss Eva Maxsom,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Maxsom. Sr.. of Seventy-eighth
street, became the bride of Mr.
Frederick W. Stricker. Jr., son of
Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. Stricker.
Sr.. of Linwood avenue, with the
Rev. Arthur H. Schmoyer, D.D., of-
ficlating at the ceremony.
The bride was gowned in a frock
of powder blue silk jersey. She wore
a white hat trimmed in blue and
white accessories. Her corsage was
of white roses, forget-me-nots and
sweet peas.
Mrs. Augusta Elzenhardt, sister of'
the bride, was the matron of honor
and the bride's only attendant. She :
wore a gown of pink silk jersey
fashioned on the same lines as that
of the bride. She wore a white hat
trimmed in pink and white asses-
sories. Her corsage was of pink.
roses, forget-me-nots and sweet
peas.
Mr. Vincent E. Stricker, brother of
the bridegroom, was the best man.
The bride's mother wore a navy
blue net gown with white assessories
and the bridegroom's mother wore a
navy blue crepe gown with white
assessories. Each wore a corsage of
gardenias.
Immediately after the ceremony
a reception was held at the summer
home of the bridegroom on the Lake
shore, for 100 guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Stricker, Jr. will
reside at 1357 Linwood avenue.
