WHEATFIELD. Sept. 5. Funeral service for Mrs. Albertina Becken Karing, wife of Gustav Karing, ex-constable and well known butcher in the Town of Wheatfield, was held from her late home on Hunt street Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 o'clock from the Holy Ghost Lutheran church. The Rev. P. Ziemendorf officiated at both services. Mrs. Eleonora Ferchen Williams and her sister, Mrs. Adelia Ferchen Eggert sang a duet. "Abide With Me," at the 2 o'clock service. Mrs. Karing was born in Germany 82 years ago and came ,to this country when 26 years old and has resided in this locality ever since. She was married 56 years ago to Mr. Karing. The deceased fell in her home on Good Friday when she got a dizzy spell and fractured her hip. She was removed to the Memorial hospital, where she has been until her death, which occurred August 30. Mrs. Karing was one of the oldest members of the Holy Ghost Lutheran church and was well known throughout Niagara county. She is survived by her husband Gustav Karing; one sister. Mrs.
Wilhelmina Neubauer., 84 years old of North Tonawanda; son, Henry Tappendorf, of North Tonawanda; one daughter, Mrs. Emma Werth of Youngstown. Pall bearers were August Sy, John Moll, Julius Stoelting, Ernest Ostwald. Ernest Mante, and William Hidde, honorary bearers were Helma Mae DeVantier, Lorraine Gombert and Sylvia Carol Eggert. Burial was in Holy Ghost Lutheran cemetery.
