WEST LEYDEN-Mrs. Loretta
Ammon, 72, widow of
Eugene Ammon, died this
morning in Rose hospital,
Utica, where she had been
a patient a month.
The funeral will be Saturday
at 2 p.m., at the Trainor
funeral home. Boonville, with
Rev. Henry O. Hospers, pastor
of the West Leyden Reformed
church, officiating.
Burial will be in West Leyden
cemetery.
Friends may call at the
Trainor funeral home, Boonville.
Surviving are three daughters,
Mrs. Walter. (Marie)
Zimmer and Mrs. Percy
(Shirley) Frederick, both of
Boonville, and Mrs. Edward
(Betty) Dutch, West Leyden;
a son, Charles E., West Leyden;
23 grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren and a
b r o t h e r , Ernest Smith
Whitesboro.
Mrs. Ammon was born in
Utica, March 25, 1895, a
daughter of George and Kathryn
Smith Smith. She attended
school in Utica and was
married to Eugene Ammon,
Nov. 11, 1919, in Ava. After
their marriage, the couple
operated a farm near West
Leyden for two years and
then moved to the Ammon
homestead farm. After her
husband's death on Sept. 26.
1959, Mrs. Ammon continued
to live on the farm until her
illness.
Mrs. Ammon was a member
of the Dutch Reformed
church and it's women's
guild and was a former member
of the West Leyden
grange.
