BOONVILLE - Shirley
Ammon Frederick, 72, of
West Street, a retired meat
cutter at the Acme Market
in Boonville, died on
Wednesday, October 26,
1994 at her home.
She was born in Ava on
August 14, 1922, a
daughter of eugene and
Loretta Smith Ammon.
She grew up in West
Leyden and graduated
from West Leyden High
School. She and her sister,
Marie, operated a beauty
shop in Boonville for
several years before she
was employed at Griffiss
Air Base in Rome. for
many years she was
employed at the Acme
Grocery market in
Boonville, in the meat
department, until the store
burned in 1970.
Shirley was united in
marriage with Percy
Frederick in January 1946.
Mrs. Frederick was a
member of the West
Leyden Dutch Reformed
Church, the Harland J.
Hennessey Post VFW
Ladies Auxiliary, a life
member and secretary of
the Lost Trail Snowmo-
vile cub, and a life
member and secretary of
the Constableville Fish &
Game Club.
Besides her husband,
surviving re one son,
Ronald C. Frederick,
Pompano Beach, Fla.; four
daughters, Mrs. Garrett
(Phyllis) Roseboom, Boon-
ville, Lynda Frederick,
Oriskany, Mrs. Jeanne
Maya, Richmond, Va. and
Mrs. James (Vicki)
VerSchneider, Forestpost;
six grandchildren, one
great-granddaughter; and
one brother, Chrles
ammon of West Leyden.
She was predeceased by
sisters, Bethany (Betty)
Dutch in 1985 and by
Marie LaPlante Zimmer in
1992.
Grace side funeral
services were held on
Saturday, October 29.
1994 at 1 p.m. at Boonville
Cemetery. There were no
calling hours. Arrange-
ments were entrusted to
the Trainor Funeral Home,
Inc., Boonville.
