GASPORT —
Pearl A. Schumacher of Gasport passed away on Wednesday evening, February 6, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Schumacher was born in Wiscoy, NY on September 16, 1920 daughter of the late Edgar and Ida (Hodge) Morgan. Mrs. Schumacher has lived all of her life in the Gasport-Middleport area and she enjoyed her family and also crocheting.
She and her husband, Henry W. Schumacher, were married on June 25, 1938 and he predeceased her on December 14, 2003. She was also predeceased by two sons, Robert Schumacher and Duane Schumacher; a son-in-law, Earl Weaver; and her siblings, Edgar Morgan and Alfred Morgan. She is survived by her children, Allan Schumacher of Middleport, Roy (Carolyn) Schumacher of Brockport, Judy Weaver of Florida and Paul (Linda) Schumacher of Lockport. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Jane Schumacher of Medina; 22 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ada Freeman of Fillmore, NY; several nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law, Irene Morgan of North Tonawanda, Jane Cyngan of Perry, NY and Dolores (John) Reitmeier of Kenmore, NY.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM with the Rev. David Hayes officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the Schumacher family.
