son-ln-law of Mrs. Lucia Merino, IMi
city. Survivors also Include 2 grandchildren
and several nieces and
nephews. Friends may call at the M.
J Colucci Funeral Chapel, 468 19th
St., where funeral services will be
held Monday, Nov. 8, at 8:30 a.m.
and In St. Joseph's R.C. Church at
9:15 a.m. Interment St. Joseph's
Cemetery. Members of St. Joseph's
Holy Name Society, St. Vincent De
Paul Society, will meet for recitation
of the Rosary Sunday at 8 p.m. at
the chapel. Deceased. was also a
member of the C e n t u r y Club. Memorial
contributions may be sent to
St. Vincent DePaul Society Of the
Niagara County Heart Chapter. The
family win receive friends from 1 to
5 and 7 to 10 p.m.

James V. Zito Sr., 56, of
1540 Ashland Ave., deputy
assessor for Niagara Falls,
died Thursday (Nov. 4, 1965)
at Memorial Hospital after a
short illness.
Mr. Zito was born in/Niagara
Falls on April 5, 1909. He
attended St. Josepf s School
and N i a g a r a Falls High
School.
He was employed for eight
years as a sign painter for
General Advertising Corp.,
and worked as a pipefitter
for three years for Niacet
Chemical Corp. and for 10
years for Kimberly - Clark
Corp.
Mr. Zito was in the real
estate business for 15 years
with his uncle, John V. Zito.
He was a member of St.
Joseph's Holy Name Society;
the St. Vincent de Paul Society
of St. Joseph's Church
Council No. 247, Knights of
Columbus and the Century
Club.
Surviving are his wife. Mrs.
Elizabeth Merino Zito; a son,
James V. Zito Jr.; his mother,
Zito; three
sisters, Mrs. Charles (Jennie)
Riggerello, Mrs. A n t h o ny
(Mary) Catalfamo and Mrs.
Dominic (Margaret) Certo; six
brothers, Anthony F., Paul J.,
Samuel M., Joseph M. and
Ralph J. Zito, all of this city,
and Brother John Zito, Salesian
Order of St. John Bosco,
Paterson, N.J., and two grandchildren.
He is also survived by a
sister, Sister Josephine, Salesian
Order, Tampa, Fla.
Funeral services will be
held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at
the M. J. Colucci Funeral
Chapel and at 9:15 a.m. at
St. Joseph's Church.
There will be a recitation
of the Rosary at 8 p.m. Sunday
by the St. Joseph Holy
Name Society and the St. Vincent
de Paul Society at the
chapel.
Friends may call after 7
p.m. today and from 1 to 5
and 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday
and Sunday.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's
Cemetery.
The family said that donations
to the Niagara County
Chapter of the American
Heart Association or to the
St. Vincent de Paul Society
would be acceptable as tributes.
