  MALCHOW - Donald R. Age 86 of the City of Tonawanda, May 25, 2017. Husband of Lorraine A. (nee Rexinger) Malchow who died in 1997; father of Sandra Almond and Cheryl (James) Szabad; grandfather of three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; son of the late Raymond and Margaret (nee Zobrist) Malchow; brother of Betty (late Gordon) Fritz, Neal (Susan) Malchow and the late Kenneth Malchow; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday (May 30) from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St. in Tonawanda. All are welcome. Please assemble at the church. Burial in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Church of Christ. Donald was a life long member of Salem Church where he was a former Deacon, Trustee of the church and a member of the church choir. He was also a Life Member of Niagara Hose Co. #3, Charter Captain of the Fire Police Squad, was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War and a Life Member of the Tonawandas' Post 264 American Legion.
