Fred L. Ludwig, 61, of 27 Chip
man PL, North Tonawanda, an
electrical contractor, died yester-
day in DeGraff Memorial Hospi-
tal.
Born in Buffalo, Mr. Ludwig
lived 42 years in North Tonawan-j
da. His death came after a long
illness.
Mr. Ludwig was a member of!
Grace Lutheran Church, Sutherland
Lodge 826, F&AM, the Lodge
of Perfection at Niagara Falls,'
Pa.;;Buffalo Consistory, North Tona-;
w a n d a L o d g e 860 B P 0 Elks, El-
d r e d g e B i c y c l e C l u b a n d the T w in
City Electrical Contractor's Association.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Helen Prohaska, and four
children, Stuart and John Lud-
wig, Mrs. Wilfred Wendt and Mrs.
John Treichler Jr., all of North
Tonawanda, and seven granchil-
ren.
Mr. Ludwig is also survived by
a brother, Edwin Ludwig, and
four sisters, Mrs. Louise Hornung,
Mrs. Martha Briggs, Mrs. Arthur
Franke and Mrs. William Franke,
all of Buffalo.
The Rev. Hermann B. Miller will
officiate at the funeral 2 p.m..
Tuesday at the Wattengel Funeral
Home, 307 Oliver St., North
Tonawanda. Burial will be in Elmlawn
Cemetery.
