Edward J Zunner, former owner of
the Town of Tonawanda's only horse
stables, died yesterday in Kenmore
Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Zunner. 73. resided at 562 Two
Mile Creek Road in the township.
His varied career also included ownership
of a meat market in Buffalo and
employment as a foreman for Pratt &
Letchworth Co.
Mr Zunner Opened the Oak Ridge
Stables at 1765 Military Road in 1942
He moved the facility to 680 Two Mile
Creek in 1950, where he raised Belgian
prize horses and provided for boarding
and riding,
The property was sold to the Town of
Tonawanda in 1967
James E. Grace Funeral Home in
Buffalo is in charge of arrangements.
