Age 86, of the Town of Amherst and formerly of the City of Tonawanda. Wife of the late Peter E. Demmin who died in 2012, mother of Richard (Debra) Demmin and Jeffrey (Vikki) Griggs-Demmin, grandmother of Connor (Diana), Angelica, Lydia, Trevor and Aidan, daughter of the late Paul and Mary Huyett and step-daughter of the late Thelma Huyett, sister of Nancy (David) Owens, John (Shirley) Huyett and the late Joyce (late Frederick) Shutt. Also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was a 1956 graduate of Tonawanda High School and received her Associate Degree from Alfred University. Ruth enjoyed traveling with her husband and children for many years. She also enjoyed the Theatre, playing bridge and reading. There will be no prior visitation. A private graveside service will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. A Celebration of Ruth's Life will be held at a later date.
