Darlene A. (Chew) Limber, 70, of Tonawanda, NY, passed away on January 5, 2022. Born on December 16, 1951 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Chief Hibert and Marion (Staats) Chew.
Darlene graduated from Niagara Falls High School and earned her Associates Degree from Niagara County Community College. She proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1971, until her honorable discharge in 1972. Darlene was employed as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist for John R. Oishei Children's Hospital. She was a former parishioner of First Baptist Church in Niagara Falls and currently First Assembly of God (The Bridge). Her main focus was her family and friends; loved spending time with them and making them laugh. Darlene enjoyed the company of her beloved pets, Gigi, Shadow, Felix and the late Tobey.
Darlene is survived by her son, Andrew (Lisa Nichols) Limber, IV; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Brendan and Matthew; siblings, Wayne Eric (Victoria) Chew, Timothy Chew and Angela (Ken) Wagner and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Marilyn Terrana.
Darlene’s funeral service and life celebration will be held on Wednesday, January 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007). Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Professional arrangements are under the care of the Goodlander family.
