- Jack J. Faiola, 96, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Leo and Jennie (DeLelio) Faiola; and the husband of the late Dolores (Reele) Faiola.
Jack was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls where he graduated from LaSalle High School and worked at the Cataract Movie Theater at the age of 14. He proudly served in the United States Marines and was stationed throughout the United States and China. Upon returning home after his honorable discharge in 1948, Jack continued to work at Nabisco Shredded Wheat, and later retired from Hooker/Occidental Chemical Company after 33 years.
Jack was an avid golfer. He also played softball in the Industrial League and was an excellent bowler well into his later years, bowling a 300 game at the age of 85. He was honored to be inducted into the Niagara Falls Bowling Hall of Fame.
Jack devoted his life to his family and cherished the many memories made with them. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Faiola is survived by his two loving children, Richard (Kathy Jo) Faiola and Cheryl Faiola; his grandchildren, Tiffany Faiola and Jacklyn (Zach) Hall; three great-grandchildren, Lucca, Liam and Landon; his sister Lee (late Rocco) Adriatico, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Amelia (late John) Cosentino.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 28 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military, Niagara Falls, NY. Jack’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Please assemble at Church. Military honors and interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
