NORTH TONAWANDA —
Barbara (nee Dehlinger) Driess, age 82, of North Tonawanda, died on Friday, May 24, 2013, at Riverwood Health Care on Grand Island surrounded by her loving family. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Emma (nee Walsh) Dehlinger and had been a resident of North Tonawanda since 1962. Mrs. Driess had been a lifelong member of Ascension R.C. Church and was the wife of the late William S. Driess, who died in 2011.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Donna) Driess; two daughters, Kathleen (Mark) Loveland and Elizabeth (Michael) Diliberto; and two sisters, Dorothy Parker and Ruth State. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Wednesday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Thursday at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church on Oliver Street in North Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. If desired, memorials to Riverwood Health Care or the Alzheimer's Association are preferred by the family.
