  Shirley H. Hughes (nee Haak) age 90 of the City of Tonawanda, April 15, 2020 while in Elderwood at Grand Island Nursing Home following a brief illness. Shirley was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She loved reading, music and traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Loving wife of Donald Hughes, dear mother of Robert (Susan) Hughes, Joanne (Robert) Vocco, Marcy (Richard) Shamrock and the late Karen Moeller. Grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mary Jane Foster, Paul Haak, Carol Haak, and the late Robert Haak and Joan Lewis; aunt of several nieces and nephews. No prior visitation, a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. If so desired memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
